Some of you may have noticed a lack of D N your T lately. The guys have been dealing with a lot of different issues--most notably, the fact that Brandon has decided to leave San Diego on his own quest. The rest of the band cannot fault him for this, due to the shitstorm that befell him earlier this year, and also the fact that DnT exists because Danny and John set out on a similar adventure five years ago. In other news, the remaining members of DnT have used the past month to lick their wounds and get back to their roots: Danny has decided to tie the knot with the love of his life; John has been on a semi-destructive, isolationist, emo-song-writer tear; and Zeke has re-ramped up his project, The Ezekiel Jay Band. The monumental task of finding a drummer to fill the void Brandon left seems to have been resolved by (of course) our fans. Through word of mouth and concern from you guys, the DnT boys made fast friends with Kyle Bruen, drumming prodigy from a little band called 2 Bit Radio. Maybe you've heard of them? In any case, Kyle has agreed to fill in for the time being and the guys have been re-energized by his commitment. "We've put him through the ringer the past few weeks, kinda unfairly." Danny says of their new prospect. John interjects, "Yeah, we had to make sure he could keep up with the rest of us. And by that I mean do shots every song, hydrate with a pitcher of beer, and still keep a beat." Both Dan and John agree that Kyle has passed their tests, "The final test is a trial by fire. We decided to take him up to LA and throw him to the wolves before we use him in SD." Anyone in the LA area can catch Kyle's test run at YouBloom. If all goes well, DnT will be playing a Thanksgiving Eve Bacchanalia at Soda Bar. But in the meantime, here is a clip of Brandon's last song with DnT. Poignantly touching choice, fellas. We'll miss ya buddy.
