Hi everyone! This is Kyle. The drummer.
Somehow I’m still considered the “new guy” even though my first show as drummer with DNT was an interesting one in LA well over a year ago. That being said, this is my first time reaching out to y’all, so I can give you a little insight into who the guy behind the kit is: born in Miami (resided for less than a year), I grew up outside Detroit. With my bleach blonde hair & dark ‘brows in middle school/high school people thought I was an Eminem wannabe. Although not my intention, who isn’t? I then “hit the books” for a 4-year undergraduate career in New Hampshire, the state with the best motto ever ("Live Free or Die”) and took the 8 out west all the way to the sea [see: How to Run]. Living by the beach for a shade over 7 years now, I linked up with Danny & the rhythm guitarist who wrote the previous post through some mutual friends and here we are! On a more serious note, after listening to All In for the first time a year and a half ago, I embraced the idea of DNT’s vision and played it cool when they asked me to join as an ‘at will’ drummer. Needing 2/3 vote to be voted off the island, I’ve managed to create and destroy alliances several times over to stay on as an active member. So much for being a serious note. -Kyle (inquiries/criticisms always welcome)

Best wishes on another trip around the sun, and enough broken resolutions to kill Ziggy Star dust!
For the five of you that read this blog; start getting excited! Myself and the rest of the fellas promised our manager we would actually begin writing in this thing! In other news, Zeke is almost done with his spectacular new album, and the rest of us can't wait to start pillaging his songs (for use in DNT material). We have a nice base of new songs and are now pushing them through set-list rotation in our SD gigs. Shanna (our manager) has been trucking along; getting us some pretty sweet shows and making connections that will hopefully start pushing our last album out across the country. Yeah, really cool eh? If art is the lens with which the artist sees the world, then I hope the rest of the country is ready to see out of beer goggles. ... No. I am not sure what that means. Yes. I am aware there is a delete button on this keyboard. Hmm... None of us actually won the $1.3 billion power ball... But I am glad to say that if Danny or Kyle won, they would have split the winnings with me! This is not out of niceness; this is because they sent pictures of their tickets out on social media so I went to the store and got their exact numbers. Goobers. A heartfelt goodbye, and hope to see you at a show! - John |
